Amsa Neolithic settlement site has been Amsa Neolithic settlement site has been very wellknown for its typical ‘comb patterned pottery’ and represents the earliest stage of permanent fishing village in inland of the Korean peninsula formed in 6th and 5th millenium BC.
Many oval pit-dwellings were exposed at several localities on ancient river banks which had been formed by river flows.
At some localities, Neolithic settlements were overlain by settlements of the Three Kingdoms Period.
